What is your opinion on hypnotherapy?

By Hypnotherapist New York • March 6, 2010 • Filed in: Hypnotherapy Discussion

I was thinking of trying it for weight loss. What are your opinions? Has anybody tried it?

Weld your fridge door shut nail up the cupboards oh and wire your jaws shut. Best diet ever invented. Fcuk wasteing cash on hypnotherapy tis a side show trick in my opinion

It works for some people but not others. I know of medical doctors who use it,so it must have some scientific basis.

I’ve used it as a part of NLP and it can be magic!
Can you think of anything else which can relieve pain in a sufferer of terminal cancer when conventional pain relief in acceptable doses fails? If hypnotherapy can do that, I’d be inclined to give it a go. What can you lose?

Hypntherapy is a very powerful tool but professional hypnotherapists are generally money grabbing sharks.

The theory is that you should be able to fix whatever causes you to overeat in just one session. Yet hypnotherapists stretch it over ten sessions. I guess if they fixed people in one go then they would be out of business….

Go for it!
My partner is a Hypnotherapist and I can tell you it works. I’ve had hypnotherapy to help me stop smoking (non smoker for 5 years now) and to learn how to drive. You just have to be able to open your mind……

Have a look for yourself at his website and make an informed decision for yourself.

Good Luck!

**in response to the last answer, no he doesn’t "stretch" client visits out so he can make more money. There are some very ethical people out there and have a passion for genuinely helping other people.

I have tried it for a while and it works. It seems to condition your mind to think of what you are eating every time you are putting something in your mouth

really helped me. …and not just for weight loss.( think yourself thin)
